A foreclosure auction for the Inn at Easton drew only one bid, leaving Talbot Bank in possession of the former restaurant and bed and breakfast, which it bought $875,000. Talbot Bank also owns the former St. Andrew Anglican Church, another foreclosed downtown property. The inn has been on the market for more than a year, most recently listing for $1,495,000. In January 2008, the Carl M. Freeman Companies announced it was selling the property in the midst of a more than $8-million renovation process. Freeman bought the Tidewater for $4,225,000 at a foreclosure auction in 2005.
