Grace Gonzalez, BSN, RN, has been named manager of emergency services for the Memorial Hospital at Easton. In this role, she is responsible for the operational and financial management of the Emergency Department, which operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week and averages over 40,000 patient visits a year. She also oversees the Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner nurse program, which is staffed by nurses specially trained to respond to the needs of victims of sexual assault treated at Memorial Hospital and Dorchester General Hospital.
Before joining Shore Health System, Gonzalez was an ER trauma nurse and administrative supervisor for Suburban Hospital in Bethesda. Her previous nursing assignments were at Nighttime Pediatrics in Rockville, where she was nurse manager, and at Washington Adventist Hospital in Takoma Park, where she was a nurse in the ER and in the Open Heart Intensive Care Unit.
Gonzalez, who lives in Cambridge, earned a bachelor of science in nursing from Columbia Union College in Takoma Park.
