A 15-year-old Grasonville youth has admitted to third-degree sex offense involving two 9-year-old girls, according to the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office. The charges and the youth’s May 7 admission in Queen Anne’s County’s Circuit Court were the result of a joint investigation in March 2009, conducted by the sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division and the Queen Anne’s County Department of Social Services. In March, Detective Stephen Stouffer investigated allegations of attempted rape and sexual assault by two 9-year-old girls who were known to the boy. Subsequently, the 15-year-old was arrested and charged. He was found by the court to be involved, delinquent, and in need of guidance, treatment and rehabilitation. He currently is being held by the Department of Juvenile Services at the J. DeWeese Carter Center pending a transfer to a treatment/rehabilitation facility. The Queen Anne’s County State’s Attorney also assisted in the investigation of the case.
