Fundraising results for campaigns for an open congressional seat on Maryland’s Eastern Shore were revealed. According to second-quarter reports, Republican Senator Andy Harris is the fundraising leader with democratic nominee Queen Anne’s County State’s Attorney Frank Kratovil narrowing the gap from the first quarter. In the quarter ending June 30, Harris raised about $532,000, and Kratovil raised $376,000. Harris had about $609,000 cash on hand to Kratovil’s $454,027. Kratovil’s office issued a press release claiming Harris had to add about $100,000 of his own money allegedly due to lax fundraising.
