Talbot County councilman and businessman Levin ”Little Bud” Harrison pleaded guilty to charges he failed to pay oyster inspection and export taxes. Harrison agreed to pay more than $3,900 in back taxes, was placed on probation before judgment and was fined $5,000. Harrison is manager of Harrison Brothers Oyster Co., a processing and packing firm. He also is the vice president of Harrison’s Country Inn and Sportfishing Center on Tilghman Island. The attorney general’s office says Harrison did not pay oyster taxes to the Department of Natural Resources between October 2005 and March 2006.
