Jackson Co-Defendant Pleads Guilty In QAC Embezzlement

Twenty-four-year-old Brad Kornegay pleaded guilty to stealing more than $155,000 from Queen Anne’s County over a 14-month period. Kornegay was the co-defendant in a case that shocked the county after former county fire and EMS chairman Ted Jackson pleaded guilty to similar charges. Kornegay supposedly was Jackson‘s middleman for transactions that were written on county purchase orders, but the items were never bought. Instead, the money went into Kornegay’s checking account and was split between the two.
