Jail Time In Biker Club Shooting Incident

Larry Rush, Jr., a 32-year-old Chestertown man, was sentenced to 13 months in jail after a shooting incident last April in Pondtown. Rush entered an Alford Plea to reckless endangerment, which means the defendant acknowledges there is enough evidence to convict, but does not admit guilt. Rush was charged with returning fire after someone in another car fired at Rush and his brother Troy, who reportedly was asked to leave a party at the Thunderguards motorcycle club on Spring Road. Troy Rush was hit by the gunfire, and Larry Rush reportedly fired a warning shot to clear the crowd so he could drive his brother to the hospital. Charges against Troy Rush were dropped.
