Maryland’s Ronald McDonald House is an independent non-profit responsible for 100% of their $1.2 million dollar annual operating budget. President and CEO, Marianne Rowan-Braun states “”that it is particularly apparent within our Home, that disease is immune to the economy. Though these may not be the best of times, it is those within our walls who face the worst of times.””

During 2008, Jen’s Gems participated in numerous community events and raised funds and awareness for Maryland’s Ronald McDonald House. At the conclusion of their season, the 52 members of Jen’s Gems together with the founder and coach, Jen Benson, presented a check for $50,000 to the House. This money was used to completely renovate one of the rooms which now has been officially named the Jen’s Gems Room.

If you would like to help support Maryland’s Ronald McDonald House, please make your tax-deductible check payable to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Baltimore, Inc. and send it to Jen’s Gems, P. O. Box 2035, Easton, MD 21601 or contact Jen Benson at 410-924-4568.
