Judy Milliken, RN, joins Candle Light Cove as Clinical Coordinator

Candle Light Cove Assisted Living & Alzheimer’s Care is pleased to announce the appointment of Judy Milliken, RN, of Easton, to the community’s newly-created position of clinical coordinator.

Under the direction of Barry Morgan, RN, the community’s wellness director, Milliken is responsible for monitoring and assisting with medication delivery; assisting with supervision of care managers and nursing staff; working with family and doctors regarding appointments and lab work; guiding and assisting with resident with care of residents; and many other nursing duties.

According to Robin Monahan, executive director for Candle Light Cove Management Company, LLC, Milliken brings 30 years of professional nursing experience in diverse settings, including hospitals (St. Mary’s Hospital in Leonardtown, 1979-84, and Memorial Hospital at Easton, 1984-2004), nursing/rehab centers (William Hill, Corsica Hills), Annapolis Oncology Center, Shore Clinical Health Offices and Tred Avon Physicians. Most recently, Milliken worked at Heartfields Assisted Living & Alzheimer’s Care.

Established in 2004, Candle Light Cove accommodates a total of 32 residents in its Peach Blossom (Assisted Living) and Tred Avon (Alzheimer’s Care) programs. In addition to Morgan and Milliken, CLC nurses providing 16 hours of coverage daily are Mary Ellen Dadds, RN, Georgie LeCompte, RN and Teresa Michael, RN, all of Easton; Shirley Small, LPN and April Young, LPN, both of Federalsbug; and Laura Jenkins, RN, of Greensboro.
