Principal Philip Keim unexpectedly resigned as principal of Kent County High School on May 12th. The next day, Superintendent Barbara Wheeler made a general announcement over the school’s public address system, advising the students of a change in leadership. For the remainder of the school year, Assistant Principal Tracey Williams, 40, who has worn numerous hats in her 10 years at Kent County High School, is the acting principal at her alma mater (Class of 1986). Neither Keim nor school officials would say why he resigned.
