Flu shots in Kent County cost $20, and the pneumococcal vaccine will be offered for $30. Regular flu clinics will be held at the health department, 125 S. Lynchburg Street, Chestertown every Friday starting October 30.
In Queen Anne’s County, the seasonal flu vaccine will be offered for $20, while FluMist Nasal-Spray for people 2 to 49 years of age who are not pregnant will cost $25. Children from kindergarten through fifth grade can receive either vaccine for free. Pneumonia shots also will be available for eligible adults for $42. Medicare Part B is the only insurance that will be accepted. The Queen Anne’s County Health Department has set up the following flu clinics: October 24, Kent Island Library, 10am to 2pm; October27, QA Health Department, 9am to 4pm; October 29, Kent Island Library, 4:30 to 7:30p.m. The health department also will offer shots from 9am to noon on November 3, 10 and 17, as well as from 1 to 4 pm on November 5, 12 and 19.
