On Tuesday, July 15 at 10:30 a.m., the Kent Island Branch Library, 200 Library Circle, Stevensville, welcomes Grammy-nominated songwriter and award-winning children’s entertainer Ray Owen and his Insect Odyssey.
During this program for all ages, Owen will take participants on a tuneful romp through the world of incredible insects. Chicken karaoke and impersonations will also be part of this wacky program.
Continuing through August 8, readers from birth through age 12 can pick up their independent summer reading club materials with a “Catch the Reading Bug” theme. Teens may participate in the “Metamorphosis” summer reading program.
Children enrolled in the reading clubs are also eligible to receive a free ticket to the July 18 Bowie Baysox game in Bowie, MD. Tickets are available anytime at the library’s circulation desk and will also be offered before and after Owen’s performance.
All library clubs and activities are free of charge. “Catch the Reading Bug” t-shirts may be purchased while supplies last at a cost of $6.35.
