Dear Community Member!

I know what you are thinking, OH NO, not another organization asking for money. It does get tiresome from time to time doesn’t it? Well attached you will find my request for seeking sponsors to help with Kent Island’s First Annual Wounded Warrior Weekend.

The Kent Island American Legion post 278 is hosting 5 military members and possibly their families the Week end of April 17-19th.

April 18th we are hosting an All You Can Eat Shrimp Feast that includes all the soda’s and draft beer as well as a host of other yummy items. During the Feast we will be having a fundraiser to raise funds for the Amputee Center at Walter Reed Medical Center. All sorts of excitement going on in the evening. Band, Raffles, Silent Auctions, getting to know the Special Guest of Honors, Presentations…etc.

Tickets are $35.00 per person. Would love to see you, your family, your friends, co-workers join us that evening..

If I still have your interest, attached is our Sponsorship Package, whether you give 1 dollar or a trillion we have something for everyone that may fit your budget.

Donations don’t have to be cash. Did I mention Raffles, Silent Auctions as well….I would be most pleased if your donation was a service that you provide:

For instance:

You own a boat charter, perhaps you could donate a two hour sunset cruise for up to 6 or so people……

You own a restaurant, perhaps you could donate a gift certificate towards a dinner for two….

You own a retail company perhaps you could donate a gift card for a shopping spree….

You own a cleaning business perhaps you could donate a free house cleaning……

You own a golf course; perhaps you could donate a round of golf for two including the cart…..

The possibilities are endless.

During the evening of the Shrimp feast, I will also have a table set up (for those who Sponsor this event ) so you can put your brochures, or business cards, or free pens or whatever you like to do to get your name out into the community. (My sponsor packet outlines what I will do for you…..

Anyway, I hope you will Sponsor this most wonderful event and if you can’t for whatever reason, that’s ok, would still love to see ya at the Banquet.
