Kentucky Bluegrass Trip

Bluegrass and Country Music fans unite! Join the members of Grasonville Senior Center as they travel to beautiful Renfro Valley Kentucky, America’s Capital of Bluegrass and Country Music. Plan now for this entertainment packed motor coach trip on June 11 – 14, 2009. This 4 Day / 3 Night package includes 3 nights accommodations in Renfro Valley KY, 3 Boarding House Breakfasts, 3 boarding House Dinners and 1 Lunch at Historic Boone Tavern. Also included is a visit to Berea KY and The Artisan Center, which offers Kentucky hospitality, shopping for Kentucky products, and a chance to explore Kentucky crafts and history. A visit to Bittersweet Cabin Village features a museum detailing 150 years of Kentucky history with authentic cabins, furnishing, tools, and artifacts dating back to the 1700’s. Travelers will enjoy a tour of the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame which honors Kentucky’s greatest musical achievers. This trip is overflowing with musical entertainment and includes 8 live shows as well. Salute pioneers of country, bluegrass, old time pop, and gospel music at the Tribute to the Legends show. Enjoy the show that started it all, The Renfro Valley Barn Dance with traditional country, bluegrass, and comedy. The Renfro Valley Jamboree Show is filled with contemporary tow-tapping country tunes. Experience a live version of the second oldest radio program in the United States, The Renfro Valley Gatherin’, where visitors are invited to join the entertainers on stage for the opening and closing songs.
