Kids Guitar Jam

Learning to play music opens up a wondrous world of sound especially for young people. The accomplishment of mastering a note or a chord can inspire a life-long love of music and an appetite for learning not found in other disciplines.

Young people of all ages and experience levels will find just the right amount of patience and encouragement in learning to make music with instructor Glenn Shiring. This class is open to students interested in playing acoustic, electric, bass, or slide guitar. A solo and group performer, Shiring offers improvisational approaches to music as well as basic techniques.

Guitar Jam for Homeschoolers begins Tuesday, October 14 and is from 1:30-2:30pm. The cost for this four-week class is $65 and $60 for Arts Council members. Classes are held at the Centre for the Arts in Centreville, Maryland.
