On Wednesday, July 15, at 2:30 p.m., in the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library, children 6 and up will have the opportunity to discover the fine art of the insect world and design their own nature t-shirt. Presenter Jerry Schneider, a former teacher and children’s librarian, will share with the children the beautiful colors and patterns to be found in butterfly wings, as well as the music of crickets, grasshoppers, katydids, and cicadas. The program will conclude with a wonderful insect t-shirt craft. Parents must pre-register their children for this program. Each child participating in the program should bring a t-shirt they can mark up and color in whatever way their fancy suggests. “Fine Art in the Natural World with Jerry Schneider” is made possible through the support of the Talbot County Arts Council.
