Hair O’ The Dog Wine & Spirits and Laurie Forster, The Wine CoachÒ, have recently partnered to create a unique customer service offering at their Easton locations. Hair O’ The Dog is the Eastern Shore’s largest retailer of fine wine and spirits.

According to Hair O’ The Dog’s co-owner, Dave Lewis, “We have always believed that we owe our customers great service, both actively by assisting them in the shop, and passively by providing clear information and guidance for those who prefer to help themselves. Laurie offers a unique service to our customers as our Lifestyle and Events Specialist. She will be in both stores offering advice on wine selection to meet our customers’ individual tastes and budgets, as well as hosting special events for our customers.”

Forster, a columnist for several magazines, also has a weekly radio show “Something to Wine AboutÒ.” Her latest achievement is the publication of her first book, The Sipping Point: A Crash Course in Wine, which has been featured in both the Wine Enthusiast and Wine Business Monthly magazines. She is a certified professional with the American Sommelier Association, and a member of the Society of Wine Educators, American Sommelier Association, International Coaching Federation and Coach U.

Forster comments, “This is a logical extension of my work to de-mystify wine and a great way to share my passion about wine with Hair O’ The Dog’s customers – experts and novices alike.”

She adds, “Another new offering will be Hair O’ The Dog’s ‘School Spirit Program,’ where a portion of the stores’ profits each year will go to local schools. Schools will be registered with us and customers can identify the schools they wish to benefit from their purchases. It’s a great way to give back to the community that has supported Hair O’ The Dog over the years.”
