Ever wonder what happens after the library closes? Let your stuffed animals find out! In celebration of its 20th anniversary, the Kent Island Library, 200 Library Circle, Stevensville, will host a Stuffed Animal Slumber Party and 20th Birthday Storytime.
On Wednesday, August 26, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., children from ages 2 through 5 may bring a stuffed animal to the library. Who knows what adventures the animals will have when they spend the night at the library?
On Thursday, August 27, at 10:30 a.m., children will be reunited with their stuffed animals during a special 20th birthday storytime. In addition to regular storytime books, songs, and a craft, children will receive souvenir photos showing how the animals spent their night at the library.
Registration is not required for the program, which is free of charge.
The Kent Island Branch Library opened on August 28, 1989. This year the Queen Anne’s County Free Library also celebrates its 100th anniversary.
