Love Letters by A. R. Gurney is a Pulitzer Prize nominated drama that centers on two characters. Actors sit side by side at tables, reading correspondence and discussing their hopes, ambitions, dreams and disappointments. First performed Off-Broadway in 1989 at the Little Wharf Theatre in Connecticut, the play has since performed dozens of times all across America. The play has been performed by such Hollywood stars as Sigourney Weaver, Jeff Daniels, Mel Gibson, Kathleen Turner, and Christopher Walken. In 1999, A.R. Gurney adapted his play into a made-for-TV movie starring Laura Linney and Steven Weber. Presented by the Dorchester Drama Guild.
