Mother’s Against Drunk Drivers (MADD) honors local law enforcement for their efforts to combat drunk driving. On December 5th, MADD hosted a recognition ceremony to honor law enforcement on the Eastern Shore for their efforts in reducing drinking and driving for 2008. Queen Anne’s County and Kent County were represented by two deputies and one trooper for their enforcement efforts allowing them to earn top recognition for traffic safety and enforcement this year. Recognized for their efforts were Trooper First Class Nathaniel Van Sant, Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Deputy First Class Amelia Lopez and Kent County Sheriff’s Detective Sgt. Harry Kettner.
