Man Pleads Guilty In Easton Bomb Threats

Thirty-eight-year-old John Bedford pleaded guilty in Talbot County court in connection with a bomb scare in Easton on July 28th. Authorities believe Bedford called in bomb threats to Memorial Hospital, Walgreen’s and Norris Ford so he could get out of going to court on another case. Bedford eventually did go to court on that case and got probation. Bedford could face up to ten years in prison. As part of his guilty plea, other charges have been dropped and the state’s attorney will not offer a sentencing recommendation, leaving sentencing to the judge’s discretion.
