Local author, Judy Reveal, is seeing two of her books published at the same time. The first in her mystery series, Cheating Death is the story of murder and plagiarism in the writing world and is set in Kent County Maryland, where Reveal worked for ten years as the Executive Director of the Kent Country Chamber of Commerce. Published author of several short stories, Reveal has taught creative writing at Chesapeake College, Queen Anne’s County Arts Council, ArtWorks in Chestertown, and the Art Museum in Easton. She is the vice president of Eastern Shore Writers Association, committee member of Bay To Ocean Writers’ Conference, is a member of Sisters in Crime and past president of Maryland Writers’ Association.
Cheating Death will make its official debut at a book signing from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on First Friday, November 7, 2008 at PNC Bank in Chestertown. That will be followed by a book signing at the main branch of the Caroline County Library in Denton on Saturday, November 27, 2008 at 1 p.m. The second book in the series, The Music Room is set in Greensboro, Maryland and is scheduled for publication in 2009.
In addition to her fiction work, Reveal has completed Around Greensboro for Arcadia Publishing. The book, a pictorial of Greensboro, is part of the “Images of America” division of Arcadia and will be available for sale on October 27. There will be a book signing and reception at the North County Branch of the Caroline County Library, in Greensboro Maryland on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at 6 p.m.
A portion of the proceeds from sales of both books will go to the Caroline County Friends of the Library to help support the library system.
