Mid Shore Community Mediation Center brought its conflict resolution message to Caroline Summerfest in Denton and took home second place in the Summerfest parade. The Mediation Center’s VISTA volunteer, Tamara Weishaupt, coordinated the Center’s booth and parade entry.
Weishaupt, right, walked in the parade with her daughters, Mickenzie Blair, left, and Megan Weishaupt, front. Their costumes and circus wagon promoting theMediation Center won them the trophy held by Mickenzie. Executive Director Peter Taillie, in back, helped man the booth together with volunteer mediators who work with the organization.
Taillie and Weishaupt thanked Ben Franklin Crafts in Easton for helping with the decorations for the booth and parade float. They also expressed their appreciation to Giant Foods in Easton and Food Lion in Easton and Denton for providing the bottled water that booth volunteers handed out to Summerfest visitors during the event.
