A mistrial was declared in the assault case involving Robert Clegg, the 45-year-old Sudlersville man badly beaten last year after a motorcycle rear-ended his truck. Dustin Clarke, 23-year-old Delaware resident, was on trial for the beating, but the judge declared a mistrial after the jury could not reach a unanimous verdict. A new trial is set for September. Clegg was seriously injured in that incident and has lingering effects.
