Motorcylist Injured

A motorcyclist was injured when he laid down his bike to avoid a collision with a van, according to Maryland State Police. Steven Cooper, 40, of Annapolis was riding a 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle north on Route 213. Lebarron Mcaddo, 24, of New Castle, Delaware was driving a 2007 Ford E-350 van on the exit ramp off Route 301 south. Police said traffic on Route 213 had a yellow flashing light, and traffic on the exit road had a red flashing light. The van proceeded into the intersection in the path of the motorcycle, and Cooper was forced to lay down the motorcycle to avoid a collision. Goodwill Fire Company and Queen Anne’s County EMS responded. Police said Cooper was taken by ambulance to Memorial Hospital at Easton.
