Come celebrate the cultural diversity of our community by attending the Multicultural Festival. We invite you to participate and help take the bricks out of walls we have the tendency to lay because we are different. Let us unite as we celebrate differences and promote peace in our community.
Join your neighbors for the 10th Anniversary Multicultural Festival on Saturday, May 2, 2009 from 10am – 2pm at Idlewild Park in Easton. The rain location is Easton Middle School. This year’s program features entertainment, a variety of refreshments including ethnic food selections, children’s games and an opportunity to visit and meet with area service organizations with educational materials at their booths.
Outstanding individuals and groups showcasing their talents throughout the day include: Randy Welch Bagpipers, Juan Angariga Columbian Tunes, Bubba Baynard Soul Music, Kentavious Jones Singer and Guitarist, Willie Blake Davis and 3 Steps Away Christian Rock, Jerry Haines Folk Music Classics, Guitar, Harmonica & Autoharp, Gerald McBide Irish Music, Flairplay Religious Rock and Jimi Mac & His Magic Acts.
Food vendors include Gabbin’s Soft Ice Cream, Jim Hollis and Friends BBQ Chicken, Reddie Eddies Ribs and Chicken, Southern Soul Food, Raymond’s Smokehouse, Irish Crab Pub Scones and Tea, St. Luke’s United Methodist Church Fish, Amish Farmer’s Market Cheese and Salads, and more.
Admission is free. There is a nominal fee for food items.
