New Art School in Easton

Gallery owners Carl and Nancy Tankersley have partnered with artist Louis Escobedo and wife Yolanda to open the Easton Studio & School, which will offer weekend workshops and weekday classes. The Easton Studio & School is located in the former gallery known as Traces of Us at 307 E. Dover Street. Opening date is July 1, 2009 and an Open House will be held during Plein Air-Easton!, Saturday, July 25.

Louis Escobedo, a nationally known artist, and Tim Bell, a painter from Annapolis who has won many awards at Plein Air-Easton! including the Grand Prize in 2006, are conducting painting demonstrations during the Open House.

Escobedo is Head of Faculty and Tankersley is Director of the School. The goal of the school is to bring top quality instructors from across the nation, as well as to hold weekly sessions taught by Escobedo, Tankersley, Bell and other professional artists. A full schedule of workshops and classes will be posted at
