No One Stops To Assist Teens In Accident

Three teenage girls ate at Squisito’s in the Red Apple Plaza and left about 10:30pm in Kayla McCahan’s Honda Civic. McCahan lost control of the vehicle on Route 18 and hit a telephone pole. The impact from the accident caused the skis stored in the back to move forward and cut Kayla’s throat. Her friends Lindsay Whittingham and Rachael Gildea were able to get out of the car and tried to flag down several cars for help. A number of cars passed by until one finally stopped. McCahan was flown to Shock-Trauma where she is in critical condition. The two other girls were not injured.
