A recent increase in complaints has been reported to the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office. Citizens are reporting after the recent deaths of family members they are receiving calls from a company requesting money to resolve outstanding debt owed by the family member.

Sheriff Hoffman would like to warn citizens to use caution and not to release any information to callers without verifying the validity of the person.
