Organizing Your Digital Photos With Don Dement

Having a digital camera has taken a lot of the guess work out of creating lasting memories, but it has also increased the amount of pictures we take, and store. In a one-day workshop with instructor Don Dement, students will learn how to make digital photos more useful by reliably storing and retrieving them. Learn how to use organizing programs, some free—file storage, backup, and retrieval in addition to organizing concepts. It really is easier than ever to use online sites as well as hard drives and CD/DVDs for comprehensive storage and organizing methods. The class will be held on Saturday, April 4th from 9am to 4pm. The cost for the class is $75 ($65 for Arts Council members). The deadline for registration is March 27.

Dement is an award winning Annapolis area photographer and instructor who has taught digital editing and photography and organization of digital photos to high acclaim at Anne Arundel Community College, Chesapeake College, Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts, and at the Queen Anne’s County Arts Council and Centre for the Arts since 2002.

The Center for the Arts classes are designed to renew existing artistic interests, and to develop new skills. Registration materials are available at 206 South Commerce St. in Centreville, MD Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or by calling 410.758.2520, online, www.arts4u.info, or request via email at exhibit@arts4u.info.
