Through a partnership with Chesapeake College, Caroline County Public Library, Federalsburg Branch will offer a One Stroke Painting course, led by instructor and Caroline County resident, Ann Pyper. The two session course will be offered on Tuesday, September 23 and 30 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the Federalsburg Branch Library.

During the program, students will learn the techniques of “one stroke” painting which involves blending, shading, and highlighting in one paint stroke. By learning how to hold the paint brush, how much paint to use and the correct pressure to apply, participants can create many beautiful realistic designs. The emphasis for the upcoming program is to create a flower design on a champagne glass, goblet, or other special glassware.

Pre-registration is necessary. The cost for the two class program is $25.00 and includes materials. Participants will need to bring a glass, goblet, or other piece of glassware to paint on during the class.
