Paul Smith Guitars Issued Bond By MD

“Paul Reed Smith Guitars was issued a $10-million private activity bond by the state to assist with the expansion of its Stevensville facility. The bond is funded by the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development’s Maryland Industrial Development Financing Authority and will go toward the construction of an 84,000-square-foot addition to the company’s plant that is already under way in the Chesapeake Bay Business Park. The addition will provide more room for manufacturing, expecting to create 60 new jobs. Faith Elliott-Rossing, director of the Queen Anne’s County Department of Economic Development, Agriculture and Tourism, called it “”very exciting news”” for the company and the county and said PRS Guitars is “”a true asset to our business community.”” Begun in 1975 in Bowie, PRS Guitars now offers 40 different models of guitars. Among the artists who use them are Carlos Santana, Dave Navarro, Chad Kroeger of Nickelback, and Mike Shinoda and Brad Delson of Linkin Park.”
