D. Ramesh Kolli, MD, was recently honored as an Everyday Hero. Dr. Kolli, who is a hospitalist at Memorial Hospital, was nominated for this award by three women who wanted to recognize the physician for the care he provided for their grandfather when he was hospitalized earlier this year.
The nominators wrote, “Dr. Kolli was the physician assigned to our grandfather’s care. It was a long day and we thought we had lost our grandfather to a heart attack, but he survived. Dr. Kolli was always kind, caring and compassionate to our extended family. He always took the time to explain what was going on to our family, even taking the time to explain things to our 86-year-old grandmother, who has trouble hearing.”
The Everyday Hero Program gives patients and their families an opportunity to make a financial donation to the Memorial Hospital Foundation in honor of a physician, staff member or volunteer who cared for them at any Shore Health System facility. The Memorial Hospital Foundation uses these gifts to support Shore Health System in continuing its mission of delivering Exceptional Care, Every Day.
