“The Queen Anne’s County commissioners unanimously approved an ordinance giving some protection to commercial seafood and fishing industry operations from nuisance complaints. The so-called “”right to fish”” law protects watermen in much the same way as a previous ordinance protects farmers. Under the bill, the commissioners will appoint five people to a committee that will mediate disputes between residents and watermen or others working in the seafood industry.
