Queen Anne’s County Commissioners approved a sewer map amendment that could pave the way for a large shopping complex being built outside Queenstown. The amendment changes the Wheatland Farm from private well water and septic to public water/sewer eligibility. While the proposed 400,000 square foot multi-use project is still in the talking stage, the amendment could accelerate efforts to get it built much sooner.
