QAC Bus Trip to National Aquarium

Sit back and relax as you leave the driving, parking and tickets to us on our Saturday, February 28th daytrip to the National Aquarium inBaltimore. The trip, arranged by Queen Anne’s County Parks and Recreation, costs $45 per adult and $35 per child. The fee includes roundtrip bus transportation, entrance to the aquarium and entrance to the Dolphin Show at 11:30 a.m. The motor coach will depart Queen Anne’s County High School at 8:30 a.m. and the KentIsland Park and Ride next to Western Auto at 8:50 a.m., returning to the Shore shortly after 3:00 p.m. Spend the whole day wandering around the exhibits or use some of your day to explore Baltimore’s Inner Harbor!

The Aquarium boasts more than 10,500 specimens and 560 species in its collection. The current exhibit is Animal Planet Australia: Wild Extremes where visitors journey through an expansive rock gorge typical of those found in Australia’s Northern Territory, becoming immersed in the colors, textures and sounds of this little-known region, according to the National Aquarium. Colorful birds like rainbow lorikeets, cockatoos, and finches soar overhead. Free-roaming lizards bask on sun-warmed rocks, and guests come nose to snout with freshwater crocodiles. Of course the usual crowd favorites are on hand: dolphins, sharks, puffins and electric eels.
