Queen Anne’s County Commissioners hired an engineering firm to plan the infrastructure improvements for the stand alone emergency room planned by the University of Maryland Medical System in Grasonville. Commissioners voted 5-0 to approve the $55,000 bid from Lane Engineering. County Administrator John Borders said the contract calls for a land survey and plans for sewer and water extensions, road improvements, storm water management, and erosion and sediment control.
