Queenstown Man In Shock Trauma After Bridge Head-On

A Queenstown man was in serious but stable condition at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore after a head-on crash in two-way traffic on the Bay Bridge. Charles William Carter Jr., 58, of Queenstown, was driving a 2004 Ford passenger car west when it drifted into the eastbound lane and into a 1999 Chevrolet driven by Elswich Gary Gene, 38, of Bridgeville, Delaware. Gene and his mother, a passenger in the car, were not hurt.
