Commissioner Gene Ransom, Democrat from Grasonville, was elected President of the Queen Anne’s County Commission, and Commissioner Courtney Billups, Democrat from Ingleside, was elected Vice President. Commissioner Ransom thanked his fellow Commissioners for the honor and praised Eric Wargotz for his service as president. Commissioner Ransom is currently serving his second term on the Commission and is the only incumbent on the Board. The Commissioners plan to announce Commission assignments to Boards and Commissions at the next meeting.
