Members of Shore Regional Cancer Center’s Requard Radiation Oncology Center staff were recently recognized as Everyday Heroes. A patient nominated “the entire staff, professional and volunteer” by making a donation to the Memorial Hospital Foundation.

In the note that accompanied the donation, the patient wrote, “From the very beginning, I was so impressed with the positive qualities everyone there seemed to possess…. Because of the care I received from everyone from the very beginning, and their caring attitude, my concerns (about receiving radiation treatments) all but disappeared. They certainly helped to make a difficult situation as easy as it could be made. I give them all the highest marks I possibly could – for a job well done.”

The Everyday Hero Program gives patients and their families an opportunity to honor a Shore Health System physician, staff member or volunteer by making a financial donation to the Memorial Hospital Foundation in their name. The Memorial Hospital Foundation uses these gifts to support Shore Health System in continuing its mission of delivering exceptional care, every day.
