Ribbon Cutting For New Cardio Exercise Room Kent Island Senior Center

Ms. Barbara Raflo will have the honor of opening the New Cardio Exercise Room at The Kent Island Senior Center. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be part of the Open House and Ten Year Celebration at The Kent Island Senior Center on Saturday, October 18th from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Barbara will offer encouragement and advice and help plan individual fitness programs for seniors. A new Biggest Loser Group will be forming to provide motivation for those who want to drop a few pounds.

The newly renovated exercise room features all the work out equipment needed for a complete cardio workout. A Nu-step machine, Ergometer, two Treadmills, and a stationary bicycle as well as a wall mounted flat screen television are available. Post-heart surgery patients (with their physician’s approval) can benefit from using the exercise equipment. Shower room is on site, bring your own towel.

Trish Beville, center manager said the exercise room offers folks 60 and over a great opportunity at no cost, to enjoy the health benefits of regular exercise.
