The Dorchester General Hospital Auxiliary’s Robin Hood Shop recently received a donation from Wal-Mart’s Cambridge store. Through Wal-Mart’s Volunteerism Always Pays (VAP) program, Robin Hood Shop volunteer and Wal-Mart associate Lillian Nugent earned $250 for the Robin Hood Shop. The VAP program encourages volunteerism by making contributions to non-profit organizations for which associates have volunteered at least 25 hours in a six-month period.
All money raised by the Robin Hood Shop benefits programs and services of Dorchester General Hospital. The Robin Hood Shop is located at 416 High Street in Cambridge and is open for donations and sales Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. For more information about making a donation of gently worn clothing, accessories and housewares and to learn how to volunteer, call 410-228-6339.
