On Tuesday, March 17, the Robin Hood Shop will hold its 52nd birthday celebration. Festivities begin at 9:00 a.m. with refreshments and a sale of new spring merchandise. The Robin Hood Shop, located at 416 High Street in Cambridge, is operated by the Dorchester General Hospital Auxiliary. The shop will be closed on Monday, March 16 to prepare for the sale.
The Robin Hood Shop is an outlet for people who want to donate gently used clothing, toys, books and small household items. This merchandise is then re-sold at affordable prices to shoppers who come from all over the Eastern Shore. The Dorchester General Hospital Auxiliary volunteers who staff the shop supply creativity and dedication, producing annual profits that regularly top $30,000. Proceeds from Robin Hood Shop sales represent a significant percentage of the Auxiliary’s annual gifts to Dorchester General Hospital for equipment and services that benefit people throughout the region.
The Robin Hood Shop is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. For more information about making a tax deductible donation and joining the Auxiliary as a volunteer, call the Robin Hood Shop at 410-228-6339.
