Terri Ross, LCSW-C, C-ASWCM, has been named director of case management for Shore Health System. As part of the Quality Team under the direction of Chief Medical Officer Michael Tooke, MD, Ross leads a team of case specialists and medical social workers at The Memorial Hospital at Easton and Dorchester General Hospital. The case management team works closely with physicians, nurses and other clinical providers to manage a patient’s hospital stay through effective discharge planning, resource management and utilization review.
A resident of Ridgely, Ross earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from Delaware State University. She is licensed as a certified clinical social worker by the State of Maryland and is a certified advance social work case manager through the Competence Certification Commission of the National Association of Social Workers. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
Ross has been a medical social worker for Shore Health System for over 12 years. She most recently served as coordinator of medical social work and was a key member of the patient care team for the Requard Center for Acute Rehabilitation at Memorial Hospital. Her other professional experience includes family and child therapy in the addictions and mental health fields, geriatrics in a long-term care setting, and home health. She has also been on staff at the A.I. DuPont Institute in Delaware in the neurology and cleft-palate clinics for children.
