After a rash of scrap metal thefts in Dorchester and Talbot Counties, employees of area metal yards were notified to watch for a vehicle seen during multiple incidents. Police received a call last week from the Hurlock scrap metal yard stating that the suspect vehicle was on-site. Forty-nine-year-old Thomas Thompson of Cambridge and 74-year-old Charles Camper Junior of Hurlock are facing theft charges. Thompson remains in the Dorchester County Detention Center. Camper was freed on $5,000 bond.
