Shoplifters Arrested At Outlets

Security Officers at the Outlets reported that they had several subjects at the mall who were identified as possible suspects from a large shoplifting incident that occurred the day before. Sheriff Hofmann who was in the area located one of the suspects on Route 50 leaving the area on foot. Additional deputies arrived and located a second subject exiting the wooded area east of the mall. A van and third suspect were soon located parked near the LL Bean store. After additional investigation it was determined that one suspect was involved in several thefts from stores at the outlets over the last couple of days. Two subjects attempted to give false names and both were found to have outstanding arrest warrants through Baltimore City. They were arrested and charged with theft and hindering charges. Both were held at the Queen Anne’s County Detention Center. An amount of clothes located in the van were in new condition with tags attached along with numerous hangers and empty store bags. The suspects were unable to provide sales receipts. The third individual was identified and charges are pending with additional investigation ongoing.
