Kent and Queen Anne’s County deputies are offering tips to shoppers to help them avoid becoming victims of crimes this holiday season. To keep valuables from being stolen from a car, police recommend storing them in the trunk or taking them with you. Police say thieves look into cars for gifts and other merchandise and will break through windows to get at them. It only takes a few seconds for a criminal to break into your vehicle so leave valuables out of sight or take them with you.
