On Saturday, April 25, volunteers from Shore Health System will staff the “Learn from Me” tents at the Chesapeake Heart Walk in Terrapin Park in Stevensville. Between 8:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. visitors to the Heart Walk will find free information about heart health and cardiac fitness; healthy nutrition; medication safety; home health and emergency preparedness; and stroke and diabetes risks and prevention. Free blood pressure screening will be provided.

Cholesterol testing will be available between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. A lipid profile, which requires a 14-hour fast, will be available for a $10 fee; a basic cholesterol screening, which requires an overnight fast, will be offered for $5.
