On March 19, Shore Health System joined healthcare organizations around the country by honoring nurses who have achieved professional certification. For Certified Nurses Day, nurses who have achieved advanced professional certification received a corsage and a cafeteria meal card. Photos of all certified nurses are displayed on the certification honor booard at The Memorial Hospital at Easton and Dorchester General Hospital.

Parker, RN, MSN, NEA-BC, CHCQM, FAIHQ, senior vice pesident of paient care services and chief nursing officer. “Board certification is a key factor in the assurance of high standards of knowledge, skills and abilities in nursing specialty practice and contributes to better patient outcomes. National certification allows nurses to be recognized for competence in their specialty.”
