Vicki Sparrow of Kent Island has been formally charged with killing her 3-year-old daughter a week before Christmas in what police believe was a murder and attempted suicide. Sparrow has recovered enough to be charged, but published reports say she is not yet out of the hospital. Sparrow told police she could not handle Christmas and did not want to be here and tried to kill herself by overdosing on medications. Daughter Laci died shortly after being transported to the hospital.
